Suzanne Thurlow visited Knowle Park Primary School this week to talk to the Reception class about what an Architect does. In addition to being a qualified architect Suzanne is also a qualified teacher and is passionate about mentoring and encouraging the next generation. She showed the 5 year olds drawings and models of projects Hetreed Ross Architects have completed and asked them what you need to make a building. She encouraged the girls and boys to think about all the jobs which are needed to realise a building and challenged gender stereotypes about who works in the building industry. The children were really interested and Suzanne was impressed by the thoughtful questions and comments they made.
