Josh Sparks
BArch DPS, MA
Architectural Assistant
Josh joined Hetreed Ross Architects in early 2025, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm from his Masters at The Royal College of Art. Under the mentorship of Amin Taha, he developed a deep interest in low carbon construction—a passion that now drives his architectural approach.
Prior to joining the practice, Josh honed his skills at a conservation firm in Central London, where he gained valuable experience navigating the complexities of planning applications and listed building consent within sensitive conservation areas.
He continues to hone his skills here, producing planning and listed building application submissions and working drawings packages for Building Regulations, Tender and Construction. He uses his 3d CAD skills to create beautiful visualisations of our designs to help clients really understand what our proposals will look like.
Beyond architecture, Josh is an experienced tennis coach, having earned his LTA qualifications at Loughborough University. While coaching has taken a back seat to his architectural career, he remains a competitive presence on the Avon tennis and squash circuit.
